The front undercarriage is where the Orbiter├òs forward landing gear is located. The forward landing gear operates in tandem with the main landing gear below the mid-fuselage section. The landing gear is powered by the Orbiter├òs <a href="text">hydraulic system</a> and works the same way as the landing gear on a typical airplane.
